The foundation grants scholarships to promote young academics. Young academics who wish to devote themselves intensively and exclusively to scientific research in the field of ophthalmology for a certain period can apply for this scholarship. The scholarships are intended for scientists who are Swiss citizens or foreign nationals resident in Switzerland, who are between their dissertation and habilitation and who are aiming for a habilitation. The grant of a scholarship is intended to recognise a particularly good, well-developed research project. Purely clinical stays abroad cannot be considered for the scholarship.
Applications must be submitted in English using the online form by 16 February 2025 at the latest. Applications for the scholarship will be evaluated by the Alfred Vogt-Foundation's Board of Trustees in the same way as applications for the Alfred Vogt-Prize. There is no legal recourse against the decision of the Board of Trustees.
